Bin hire - how to order a bin

    There are two main ways:
    • Telephone 01223 861010 and our sales department will guide you.

    • Use the bin advice pages to choose which container will best suit your needs and complete the online enquiry form. One of our sales team will then contact you to confirm the order.

When ordering a bin, you will need the following information to hand:
    • What type of container you require
    • When/where you need it delivered and how often it is to be emptied
    • What type of waste is to be disposed
    • Contact details.
Please be aware that our vehicles cover different areas on different days. While we are always expanding our rounds, it may not be possible to service certain locations at certain times. Please call our sales team for further details.

Wheelie bins will be delivered by our Mercedes Sprinter van and be emptied by a standard size refuse collection vehicle.

Wheelie bin waste needs to be light and compactable – wheelie bins are not designed for construction waste. As a guideline, the maximum weight in a 1100L wheelie bin should not exceed 75kg.

Due to weight restrictions the following bins are suitable for the following waste streams:

Bio/food waste can only be collected in 80L bins.
Glass can only be collected in 240L bins.

    Important things to know

    Do not overload your skip:

The waste must not exceed the top of the skips walls – exceeding the top of the walls is illegal. If you have heavy materials to dispose of, such as soil or hardcore, you will need a skip between 2yards and 8yards as the larger skips cannot be lifted with these heavy materials.

Do not put the following in your skip or bin:
    • Fridges/Freezers
    • Tyres
    • Paint Cans
    • TV’s/Monitors
    • Asbestos
    • Clinical/Medical Waste
    • Fluorescent Tubes
    • Solvents
    • Liquids
    • Oil
    • Batteries
    • Plasterboard (max 10% of load)
    • Hazardous/Toxic Material
    • Large tree trunks

If you have any of the above, AmeyCespa can offer a service to dispose of them correctly and legally with an audit trail. If you are unsure if a material is suitable for a skip, please call our transport team on 01223 861010.
